同时在影片时间感的表达上,三次奔跑的在电影中的时间长度与现实中的实际时间的长度基本一致,20分钟左右,这是很难得的一点。后面两次是理想化的,罗拉基于失败经验学习和进步后的一种可能性。镜头语言上,影片以动态镜头为主,为了表达速度感的镜头创造了很多拼贴感的碎片,加以声音的辅助增强了影片的节奏感。开头通过旋转镜头来表达无助的心情,开头处的旋转和角色的沉默也是在帮助罗拉去自我观察,了解自己所在的处境。以及一镜到底,动画和现实交织的部分让人印象很深刻。同时能观察到很多镜头都是没有支架进行拍摄的,不稳和晃动的感觉似乎也是一种对于罗拉奔跑时主观视觉感受的一种模拟。喜欢的表现方式还有一点是,用镜头来讲述路上遇到的人的一生,简单的有故事性的照片的有序衔接,便能给观众提供了解路人生活的线索,仿佛是走进了罗拉的脑中画面。
同时还注意到有趣的一点,就是电影中颜色的运用。这是一部结构很简单的低成本电影,影片中主要出现了三种色彩,红色黑色白色。影片中突出使用了三种色彩:红色,黑色,白色。红色是刺目的颜色,是突破现实,富有勇气的颜色,是动感的颜色,是浪漫的颜色,是愿意为了爱奋不顾身,带有理想主义色彩的颜色。片中罗拉的头发,服装,救护车,电话亭,以及男女主情到浓时都是红色的画面。黑白色则是暗淡的颜色,是世俗保守的颜色,片中修女的衣服,警卫,曼尼的衣服以及时钟的色彩都是黑白的。这种颜色的线索似乎暗示着罗拉是她所在的生活的突破者,身边的一切相对是乏味守旧的。
在角色的塑造上,男友的角色遇到问题后将责任都推给了罗拉,而男主就像是遇到问题之后只能默默生气的我们自己。而女主是做出行动,非常有勇气和胆量的去做出改变,通过呐喊去突破僵局,从绝境中拯救自己,同时也是颠覆传统守旧的生活。呐喊也是一种内在意识的象征。尽管在我看来可能第一种是真正的现实,而后两种只是理想化的想象。让我想到自己作为一个年轻人对于未来的感受,像是卡夫卡小说的结局,正因其不可知,所以更需加倍努力探索。命运必须在奔跑中争取。
Tom Tykwer’s Run Lola Run (1998) is an art cinema which indicates a deep philosophical motif: from the aspects of plot, the bifurcated structure magnifies the decisive influence of contingency in life and its impact on future while indicates the uncertain and agnosticism of the coming encounters. Three different endings that appear in parallel worlds are based on different choices Lola did. From the narrative perspective, Run Lola Run is not like realistic narratives which generally will hide a clear beginning, middle, and end in storytelling to make it more like a record of reality. In terms of artistic narrative structure, there are three independent plate structures with same twenty minutes’ length. The beginning animation transition symbolizes the story with a form of game. The three cycles are like a game role’s three HPs, during which player’s different choices will cause different results. This form increased the motif expression with stylistic signature and create the opportunity to exaggerate the character's characteristics in the repetitions of shots.
At the same time, in terms of the expression of the film's sense of time through a repetitive way, the length of time in the movie for three runs is basically the same as the actual length of time in reality. The latter two run are more idealized that Lola learns and improves based on former explorations. In terms of cinematic language, the camera rotation at the beginning and the silence of the character build a chance to convey that Lola is observing herself and understand her situation and later the film is dominated by a series of dynamic shots to express the sense of speed, The feeling of instability and shaking seems to be a simulation of the subjective visual experience of Rola’s running. The shots have created a lot of fragments of montage with the help of sound enhances the rhythm of the playing.
Moreover, the use of colors enhanced the attributes of the film’s artistic genres. There are mainly three colors in the film, red, black and white along with its storytelling structure. Red is a glaring color, a color that breaks through reality with courage, a color that is dynamic, romantic, idealistic, always willing to fight for love. In the film, Lola's hair, clothing, cellphone, the ambulance, phone booth, and the scenes in ambiguous atmosphere are all shown as red shots. On the contrary, black and white are more dim secular and conservative color. The nun's clothes, guards, Manny's clothes, clock are all designed in black and white. The clue of this color seems to imply that Lola needs a breakthrough in her life while everything around her is relatively traditional and conservative.
It seems that Manny always blame for Laura after encountering his personal problems which is like a metaphor of our helpless and irresponsible moments in our lives. The Lola is like an idealistic self who is courageous and courageous to make changes, through shouting to break the deadlock and save herself from despair to subvert the dilemma in life. Lola’s screaming is also a symbol of the raise of her inner consciousness, like the ending of a Kafka's novel. It is since that future is so unknowable that we need to work harder to explore and seize all the changes.
